Aura, a mixed-use skyscraper, finished in 2014 in Toronto, Canada, marks the culmination of the Residences of College Park project in the Downtown Yonge district. With 79 floors, it stands as Canada's tallest residential building and the 38th tallest globally, concluding construction that spanned from 2010 to 2014.
Originally conceived as a two-tower structure with a ten-story podium, the taller tower would have reached 60 stories and 196.5 meters in height, while the shorter tower would have stood at 20 stories and 74.5 meters. However, in February 2012, Toronto city council granted approval for a three-story addition, elevating Aura to 78 floors and securing its status as Canada's tallest residential building.
